Our Company
Mantaray Barges is a small, locally owned and operated, independent Australian company - we believe every visitor to the region should be able to enjoy the K’gari (Fraser Island) experience. We provide a cost effective, friendly, reliable and safe transport service to K’gari (Fraser Island). With over 30 years of experience, there's very little we don't know about the area - and we'd be happy to help. Mantaray Barges offer daily services from Inskip Point to Hook Point on K’gari (Fraser Island); just look for our bright green and gold barges! Our experienced team can help with clear instructions and guidance to ensure a smooth journey. Mantaray Barges also offers vehicle permits and camping permits for K’gari (Fraser Island), which can be purchased at our office in Rainbow Beach.Our Barges
Our barges operate 6am to 5pm daily. The trip duration is 10 minutes and we run all day, so there's no need to worry about timetables or booking. You may purchase your barge ticket online, on board or visit our office, which is open 6am-4pm Mon-Fri, and 6am-2pm on Sat. Please note you'll need a K’gari (Fraser Island) vechile access permit and camping permit to 4wd and camp on K’gari (Fraser Island). These will need to be prebooked by contacting our office.
